Hey There Cupcake!

blackpop

Welcome to Pile It On challenge #15! This week the challenge is to use Black and White with a pop of one other color (along with at least one other challenge). The fantastic Sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe! You will have a great time searching through their plentiful files of printable stamps, cutting templates, invitations, shaped cards and much more — all of this at an extremely affordable price! Also, dont forget to check out Pile It On’s Design Team Samples using some of the Cutting Cafe’s fun files!

For my cards, I used the All About Cupcakes file that includes tons of fun cupcake images for cards and other projects. Since we had to choose only one color to “pop” off of the black and white, I thought of the color that most reminds me of cupcakes — that color would be PINK! I also decided to use my 3″ Scalloped Circle Punch to create some mini cards. I simply folded a 3.5″ x 7″ piece of paper in half and punched it so that the fold was still in tact. Below are the additional Challenges that I used on this project:

Pile It On — Color Pop – Black & White with one other color
Stamp Something — Your Favorite Embellishment (PEARLS!!!)
Practical Scrappers — Basic Punches

Creating Together <3

IMG_6459
My hubby is an incredible artist! And recently he has had the itch to create… I cant even say how much I enjoy seeing him create and the joy that he receives from it. This weekend we were able to spend some time creating together. Here are just a couple of photos, because I of course could not help but capture the moment!

Garrett is preparing to enter a Munny contest. If you dont know what that is… you will probably hear more about it here in the near future once he completes his “Munny” or you can google it right now. Me… I am just scrapping as usual :) Thought I would share what our different work spaces too…

Yellow Love

IMG_6449
This weekend has been so wonderful! First, three day weekends are just grande; love having that extra day to just relax! Second, my hubby is working on an art project so a lot of the time while I am scrapping, he is painting… so needless to say, I am truly enjoying being able to share that time with him. And lastly, this week, Dawn McVey challenged us to use a truly gorgeous color combo {ORANGE-GOLD, CREAM, CHOCOLATE AND KRAFT} and I have fallen in love with my result! It has been a while since I have loved a color combo this much and I really want to sit down and do more soon {without over-doing it, of course}.

Each of these cards uses a different sketch plus one other challenge that is out there in blog-land. The first card uses Sketch 3 from Cardvaarks as well as A Spoon Full of Sugar’s Challenge to use Distressing. I simply sponged some chocolate ink around the edges of the cream paper to make it pop off of the kraft paper some more.

The 2nd Card uses this week’s 2 Sketches 4 You Sketch, along with the ABC Challenge to use Circles. I am sure you can find enough circles on this one to qualify :)

The final card uses this week’s CPS Card Sketch with Practical Stampers challenge to use Stamps and Stamp Simply’s challenge to have an Overstamped Sentiment (where you stamp the Sentiment over another stamped image.

ALL PRODUCTS USED ON THESE THREE CARDS ARE PAPERTREY INK — Minus the Pearls, Buttons and Ribbon. Hope you enjoyed and cant wait to see what everyone else created on this long weekend!! Happy creating!

Silhouette Wedding Guest Book <3

Just a quickie this morning!

I heard that someone was looking for this one of the forums, so I thought I would repost it since I never posted it here on this website. I hope you enjoy it… I personally fell in love with it once it was all completed :)

And here are the details that are directly from my past blog:

This weekend, a bunch of people from our church have gathered together to throw a wedding for a young couple, Shane and Vicky. It has been awesome to see God bring together so many different talents and abilities to get everything together for tomorrow! I created them this cute little guestbook for the wedding. The CTMH Silhouette paper pack worked perfectly since they are sticking with neutral colors for the wedding. I just love how it turned out! I found the perfect font on Dafont.com and used that for the word “Guests” on each of the pages to sign. It is a smaller wedding (in my opinion) of less than 100 Guests, so this left me room for several pages in between with photos of the cute couple. All of the pages for signing are very simple. I covered the pages the 3 Ring Binder (from CTMH) with pattered papers and printed up the lines on Colonial White cardstock and cut it down to 4.5 x 6″ to go in the center. I just stamped different flourishes on one side of the page in Bamboo for added design.

Rather than posting all of the photos to take up the whole blog, I have created a Slideshow for you to see all of the photos. Enjoy!
