Here we are again and I am excited to say that in just a couple of days Close To My Heart releases the Spring/Summer 2011 Idea Book!

Let me start off by saying how wonderful it is and I know you are going to swoon over it just as much as I have when you check it out. Be sure to check out www.closetomyheart.com on February 1st to see it online! And now for some of the goods…

Here is how the blog hop will work: Simply scroll down to the bottom of my blog to view all of the wonderful creations on other wonderful Consultant blogs — click on them one by one to view them up close! I can only imagine how many awesome projects are just waiting to be seen! This card features a new paper pack called Wings. This pack has the most beautiful color combo of Juniper, Sweet Leaf, Vineyard Berry and Black! I just am in love with the combo! I also included a strip of the Kraft Color-Ready Borders! Okay, are you ready for this?! First of all, they are Kraft — amazing! Second, the backside has adhesive all ready for you to peel and stick! It is wonderful,convenient, all that good stuff! I included a photo of some of the designs that are included in the pack below.

Products used: Wings Paper Pack (X1375A/B), Kraft Color-Ready Borders (Z1377), Licorice Opaques Adhesive Gems (Z1335)

(and that’s only about 1/4 of the pack!! Great Deal!)

And for card #2, well, I needed something simple and sweet. This card took about 10 minutes to think up and create, so I am pretty happy with how it turned out. The only new product featured is the Kraft Color-Ready Borders — I have a feeling you will be seeing these beauties a lot! I used it as a ledge for the cutie owl from “You’re A Hoot” which I paper pieced together so that her eyes could have some color… aint she a doll!? When you do a simple card, you have to keep it simple, but the layout of your stamps and colors/embellishments need to flow too. I had fun laying it all and can’t wait to pass this card on to someone special!

I got my wisdom teeth pulled last Wednesday and have been stuck at home ever since. Thanks to those of you who have been praying for me as I take care of myself and allow my poor gums to heal! Since I have had so much extra time on my hands, I decided to dedicate some of that time to Studio J.

For those of you unfamiliar with Studio J, I would encourage you to check out my past post here and the main site to learn more. In a nutshell, it is a FREE, online digital scrapbooking program from Close To My Heart. I am excited to say that I have completed a dozen + layouts in the last two days after dedicating about 6 hours in total. That is pretty impressive considering it normally takes me two hours for a two pg layout in traditional scrapbooking. While I would never totally give up traditional scrapbooking, I am pretty darn satisfied! Check out a few of my layouts :)

1. Host a Gathering at your home: Simply invite your friends over for a special gathering where they will make 10 cards with envelopes for just $6.00*
2. Host a Workshop at your home: Invite those friends of yours over for a day of card making — 10 of each card (total of 30 cards with envelopes) for just $16.00*
3. Order them from my Etsy Shop! Don’t feel like hosting or creating? I can make them for you! For just $15.00 per set of 15 cards & envelopes, I will put them together and ship* them off to you just in time for your cards to get to your loved ones before Christmas! Choose one card for sets of 15 OR choose 2 to all 3 of these cards for larger quantities.

*Gathering Price will be only $3.00 when a purchase of $25.00 (before tax and shipping) is made at the Gathering!
