Snowflake Lovin…

… so this is goodbye! I have really enjoyed my time with the oh so talented Pile It On design team. It was such an honor to be a part of the very first team and these ladies truly were gifted! I hope to continue playing along with the challenges from time to time and look forward to seeing the new team and what they have to bring to the table!

Here is my final card for PIO — and very possibly for the year 2009. My apologies for the bad quality of the photos; I was trying to catch the essence of my clear embellishments and to do so, I had to eliminate the flash. The challenges included in this card are listed below and I do look forward to checking out whatever it is that you decide to create this week! Many blessings to you and yours in the coming new year! Dont forget to drop on by in the future :)

My New Fave!

IMG_8055

Good morning, ladies…

Welcome to this week’s Pile It On challenge! This week we are challenging you to use Flowers and Flourishes on your project (along with at least one other challenge). This one should be VERY easy since who doesnt love flowers or flourishes?! I can not believe that this will be my last month with the Pile It On ’09 design team — it has truly been a blast and I thank you all for taking the time to support us and our passion for designing. I especially hope that we were able to inspire you to continue to create beauty with your own hands!

My card was created using my new absolute favorite paper pack from My Mind’s Eye, Andrea Victoria. I am so in love with mustard yellow and gray right now! The weird part is that this is a very trendy color combo right now and I remember at the beginning of the year, reading a fashion magazine that listed it as 2009′s new “black…” how do they predict this stuff!! Anyhow, the Limelight Paper Craft challenge was to use their sketch, as well as your favorite patterned paper — so needless to say, it wasnt tough to choose from my favorite paper pack! It is gorgeous!

Here are the challenges that I used on this week’s card:

  • Pile It On — Flowers and Flourishes
  • All Sorts — Buttons
  • Limelight Paper Crafts — Sketch & Favorite Patterned Paper
  • Little Red Wagon — Buttons

    Rub- Ons!

    IMG_7895

    Hi There, Girls!

So how many of you are already going crazy with holiday stuff! I am trying to figure out how to NOT get stressed over the holidays (esp. Christmas) because after all, that is not close to what they are about! I have been missing in action because of this goal — sometimes scrapbooking & creating takes the back seat for other things.

This week’s Pile It On challenge is to use Rub-Ons (and of course at least one other challenge). I created this beautiful mini acrylic album from Close To My Heart and had a ton of fun using my rub ons all over the acrylic! I hope you enjoy and that you will join us in our challenge this week… even despite all of the busyness in the air! :)
Here are the challenges that I used with this project (more photos to follow!)

    Pile It On Gives Thanks

    IMG_7402

Happy November!! I have a great feeling that this month is going to be a great one! I just love the holidays and all of the good times with family and friends that they bring. I already feel a bit behind on my Christmas projects (I know, it’s crazy!).

This week at Pile It On we are challenging you to create a thank you card or project! Easy enough right? Dont forget to pile on at least one more challenge to qualify! I love the fall colors and everything Thanksgiving. I think that we, as Americans, can really take things for granted, so I love that we have a day dedicated to being grateful for the blessings in our lives. For me personally, I am looking forward to giving thanks all month long!

For my card this week, I used the following challenges:
